DSG is an electronically-controlled, dual-clutch, gearbox, with automated clutch operation, and with fully-automatic gear selection. The first dual-clutch transmissions were developed for the Porsche 962 in the 1980s. DSG gearboxes are controlled by a control unit (ECU) to achieve good drivability and comfort. BSR has spent hundreds of hours improving the performance of these gearboxes. During this work, our engineers have been amazed that this transmission can withstand such high torques and loads far beyond the levels found in BSR's engine optimizations. Torque limiter is part of ecu tuning, but if the car is equipped with DSG gearbox, there is separate limiters for the gearbox. With optimisation of DSG settings we can get extra torque, at the same time ensuring stabile and safe working of the drivetrain. Just like our engine optimizations, any change in the unit of DSG is realized specifically for the required vehicle. With this setting you can find perfect balance between engine performance and the behavior of the DSG gearbox. DSG gearbox software tuning can improve your vehicles driving experience even if the ECU remains with standard settings.
